Police are investigating a potential murder-suicide in a Lincoln Park home on the North Side.

Judith Thomson and George Thomson, both 69, were pronounced dead in their apartment about 8:30 p.m Monday in 2200 block of North Racine, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Judith Thomson suffered stab wounds and blunt force trauma to the head, while George Thomson had multiple self-inflicted stab wounds, police spokesperson Kellie Bartoli said in an email. Both were pronounced dead on the scene.

They were discovered after an acquaintance entered the home to check on them, Bartoli said.

Area Three detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.

The medical examiner’s office has not released their autopsy results.
