A man with a white beard robbed a bank and threw cash into the air as he shouted "Merry Christmas", witnesses have claimed.
David Oliver, 65, reportedly waited in a Starbucks before he was arrested and will spend Christmas Day in jail awaiting a court appearance.
Colorado Springs Police said a man raided the Academy Bank, in Tejon Street, on Monday afternoon having apparently claimed to be carrying a weapon.
However, police have said there was no suggestion he actually had one.
He stole an undisclosed amount of money but then bizarrely spilled it into the air, according to witnesses.

"He started throwing money out of the bag and then said, 'Merry Christmas!'" Dion Pascale told 11 News.
Police shared Oliver's custody photo on its Twitter page, writing he was "booked into" the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center "following a bank robbery".
Passersby are said to have picked up the money and taken back to the bank.

The Denver Post reported police said "thousands of dollars" remained unaccounted for.
Sergeant Jim Jeffcat did not confirm the loot was thrown or that he yelled the festive message.
Oliver is due in court on Boxing Day.
