Man with welsh accent missing from Edinburgh since Tuesday found safe and well

A man who went missing from Edinburgh for two days has been found safe and well. Michael Jones vanished from Parliament Street in the Leith area of the city just before midnight on Tuesday, August 2.

The 55-year-old's disappearance prompted officers to ask for the public's help as part of their ongoing efforts to trace him.

Cops initially said that although Michael, who speaks with a Welsh accent, had been known to venture off himself for a few days in the past, worries were mounting for his welfare.

Now, it has been confirmed that Michael has been found safe and well. Edinburgh Police Division thanked people on social media for assisting the search.

A spokesperson said: "We can confirm that Michael Jones, 55, reported missing from Leith has been traced safe and well. Many thanks to everyone who shared and responded to our appeal."
