Man with hammer threatened staff at Texaco petrol station

A man threatened petrol station staff with a hammer during a robbery earlier this month.

A man entered the Texaco petrol station, in Brislington Hill, on Wednesday 4 March at approximately 7.15pm.

Upon entering the garage store he took out a hammer from a black backpack and demanded staff handed over money from the till. A quantity of cash was taken, but nobody was injured.

CCTV images show an individual police wish to speak to in connection with the ongoing robbery investigation.

He is described as being of Asian appearance, large and having short black hair.

He was wearing a grey hooded top with black sleeves and put his hood up upon entering the store.

PC Jed Kingdon said: “This is a busy shop and used by many locals to buy essential items and we therefore hope somebody will recognise the man, pictured on security footage, and be able to assist our investigation.”

Anyone with information about the man’s identity, or who witnessed what happened, is asked to report the information online, or alternatively call 101 and give reference number 5220053287.
