A train passenger has been praised for his response to an 'audacious' stranger who challenged him for requesting the seat he paid for.
The man appeared to ask a woman to move out of his pre-booked seat in a video that has since gone viral on TikTok.
In the clip filmed on a crowded train, he can be seen approaching a fellow passenger before he politely requested his seat.

The woman seated in his spot then appeared to look for another spot for him to sit, before she agreed and stood up. However, at this point another passenger then questioned the man's behaviour.
"My place is 103," the man told the woman in his seat at the beginning of the exchange.
When she looked around to find empty seats, he continued: "It's gonna be difficult. My place is 103 and I need my place. I'm so sorry."
Accordingly, she then stood to collect her items, as she said she 'understands'. But at this point a woman sitting in a nearby row interjected.
Although it is difficult to hear her words due to low audio quality, she appeared to question the man, and she shook her head at him.
"It's my place," he reiterated, before telling her to calm down.
The video, posted by @mr_boris_becker has since amassed over seven million views and thousands of comments.
One person put: "No way they were getting upset at you asking for the place you bought."
A second thought: "The other girl should've minded her own business."
Another answered: "Obviously the train is full, so the man needs to get the spot he paid for."
Meanwhile, someone wrote: "Worst than her taking his place is the other woman trying to justify why he should look for another seat."
"THE AUDACITY THESE GIRLS HAVE," a different person commented.
Another agreed: "This happens all too often, entitled people thinking rules don't apply to them, then have the audacity to moan when confronted."
