A man has suddenly vanished from Edinburgh sparking a frantic police search to find him.
Jason Campbell's family have been left worried now the 26-year-old has been missing overnight from the Muirhouse area.
He was last seen about 9.25pm last night and has not contacted loved ones since which is very out of character for him.
Jason is described as being white, about 5ft 8”, slim build, short brown hair, blue eyes.
Jason was last seen wearing black trainers with white soles, dark bottoms, a green jacket with black stripe down arms and black cap.
He is thought to be carrying a dark coloured rucksack and is possibly in possession of a tent.
Inspector Claire Masterton from Drylaw Police station says "Jason has been missing for a number of hours now, this is completely out of character for him and his friends are understandably worried about him.
"We have a number of police resources out looking for Jason and I am now looking for the assistance from the public to help trace him.
