An Ayrshire man who vanished on Christmas Eve has been traced safe and well, police have confirmed this morning.
Richard Hay disappeared on Friday and had not visited his family over the Christmas weekend.
Cops said yesterday that the 34-year-old Irvine man was last seen leaving Glasgow Central Station at around 1.30pm on Christmas Eve by a friend and had arranged to meet up later in the day after doing Christmas shopping but had failed to show.
Officials confirmed today that Ricard has been traced safe and well.
Police Scotland said: "We can confirm that Richard Hay reported missing from Irvine on 26/12 has been traced safe and well.
"We would like to thank the public for their response to our appeal and their assistance in our enquiries.
