Man who threw meth-fuelled 'death party' for ill wife jailed for three years

A man who threw his terminally-ill wife a drug-fuelled 'death party' has been jailed for three years.

Duane Arden Johnson pleaded guilty to criminal neglect in June as part of a deal with prosecutors, according to reports.

The 59-year-old was given credit for 201 days already served in the slammer.

Johnson told detectives that his 69-year-old wife Debra Lynn Johnson begged him to take her home to die in January.

And when there the couple held a 'death party' that included taking methamphetamine.

A naked Johnson ran outside, yelled that his wife was dead - and then hurried back into the home, according to the police report.

Police found him in a bathtub, where he said he was trying to cleanse little white and black “things” from his skin.

They also found 47 guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

Speaking to detectives Johnson admitted to having sex with her in the hours before she died as he 'rocked out' to heavy metal band Quiet Riot.

At one stage during the party, she began convulsing but refused to allow her husband to get medical help.

She finally died at around 8.30am - but Johnson waited several hours before he contacted authorities about her death.
