A man who allegedly brandished a gun near a McDonald's has been charged.
On Wednesday, police received reports of man in possession of a firearm, close to the McDonalds in Antrim .
The man was in a local taxi when he allegedly assaulted the driver and demanded money.
A man was arrested a short distance away and a firearm was recovered.
He has been charged with a number of offences including possession of a firearm, assault and threats to kill.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Yesterday (Thursday July 18) police charged this male to court with a number of offences including: Possession of a firearm, assault and threats to kill.
"We would like to thank the members of the public who assisted in locating this male."
