Man who doused Nigel Farage in milkshake has landed a new job due to his 'quick delivery'

A man sacked for dousing Nigel Farage in milkshake is back in work - at a shop meters from a stand selling milkshakes.

Paul Crowther was convicted of assault after hurling a £5.25 Five Guys drink at the Brexit Party leader.

But the lactose lobber has now been spotted in a yellow t-shirt selling bath bombs and cosmetics at Lush.

The cosmetic firm's co-founder Mark Constantine is a self-proclaimed "wishy-washy liberal who doesn’t believe in borders”.

A source claims bosses at the Eldon Square branch gave Crowther - whose criminal actions split opinion - a "second chance" after he was axed from his Sky call centre job.

Confirming his appointment, Lush said Crowther - who drenched Mr Farage in a "split second attack" -  was appointed due to being experienced at a quick delivery.

A spokesperson said: "Lush's business is based around hand making cosmetics from fresh ingredients and delivering them quickly - something Paul seemed to have experience of."

The new gig means Crowther's store is merely feet from a Krispy Kreme kiosk, which sells £3.30 milkshakes

But that's a snip compared to the treat he humiliated the former UKIP chief with during a now infamous stroll through Newcastle.

Campaigning before May's European election, Mr Farage's suit was ruined when Crowther slung his banana and salted caramel shake near Grey's Monument.

As police frantically apprehended the married 32-year-old, the politician scalded his security team for their "complete failure" as they bundled him away.

Crowther told nearby reporters it was a "protest", stating: "The bile and the racism he spouts out in this country is far more damaging than a bit of milkshake to his front."

But Mr Farage, who later tweeted "whatever they throw at us, we will never give up", was joined by figures from across the political divide - including Remainers - in condemning the Throckley thug.

Ex-Lib Dem leader Tim Farron branded the attack "wrong". Former PM Tony Blair called it "horrible and ridiculous".

Sparing him jail at North Tyneside Magistrates' Court, District Judge Bernard Begley said Crowther committed an act of crass stupidity" as he ordered him to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work having pleaded guilty to criminal damage and assault.

He apologised to Mr Farage - and was ordered to pay £350 compensation to have the shake-stained suit cleaned.

Crowther, who is understood to have started in the last month, was not available for comment when contacted.
