Man who disappeared from Scots hotel found 'safe and well'

A man who disappeared from a hotel in Argyll and Bute has been found 'safe and well' following an urgent police search.

Malcolm McFarlane, known as Callum, had been last seen at a hotel on Harbour Street in the village of Tarbert at around 7.25pm on Sunday, November 27.

The disaperence of the 62-year-old prompted officers to now ask the public for their help as part of their efforts to trace him.

Malcolm is described as around 5ft7 in height and of medium build with dark hair. He was wearing a dark winter coat and blue jeans when he vanished.

Police Scotland said in a statement: "We can confirm that Malcolm McFarlane who was reported missing from Tarbert, has been traced safely.

"Thank you to everyone who shared our earlier appeal."
