Man who died in crash was 'caring and funny' 26 year-old

A biker who tragically died following a car crash in Conwy on Thursday night has been named.

Motorcyclist Lee James Roberts, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene of the two-vehicle collision on the B5106 near  Ty'n y Gores.

Mr Roberts, from the Penmaenmawr area, was riding his motorbike when it was involved in a crash with a Vauxhall Astra at around 9.30pm on January 23.

North Wales Live reported that emergency services were called to the scene but sadly they were unable to save his life.

His family have now paid tribute to Mr Roberts, describing him as "a friend to everyone."

They said: “We as a family are devastated by the loss of Lee. He was a much loved son and brother.

"Lee was clever, hardworking, caring and funny.

"We will miss his practical jokes.

"He was always there to talk to and enjoyed travelling all over the world.

"Lee loved animals and was a friend to everyone. We will miss him so much.

"We ask as a family that we are left in peace to support one another.”

North Wales Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision which closed the road for six hours.

Anybody with information is asked to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101 or via the live web chat quoting reference number Y010575.
