Man who calls himself 'Steven Gerrard' on the run from police again

A man who calls himself "Steven Gerrard" is on the run from police again.

Phillip Byrne is wanted on recall to prison after breaching the conditions of his licence and conditions under the Sex Offenders Register.

The 41-year-old, from Anfield, is being hunted by Merseyside Police for the second time in six months over similar offences.

It is not clear whether Byrne was dealt with by police when they issued an appeal for his whereabouts in November 2019.

Officers looking for him have released a description of Byrne alongside a list of aliases he is know to go by.

According to police, Byrne often refers to himself as Sebastian Gerrard, Phillip Clarke and Steven Gerrard.

He was described as 5ft 6in tall and of slim build. He has dark brown hair and blue eyes.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the force said: "Do you know this man?

"Byrne is described as 5ft 6in tall, of slim build, with dark brown hair and blue eyes."

UPDATE MAY 15: John Bridge has now been recalled to prison.

Anyone who has seen Byrne or has any information is asked to contact @MerPolCC, 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
