Man wanted over serious crash found by police hiding under a bed

A man wanted by police in relation to a car crash that injured three people was found by officers hiding under a bed.

Rory McCormack, previously of Kirkby, had been wanted by police since June 2018 in relation to the collision on Greenes Road in Whiston.

The accident, which happened on July 7 2017, left three people with injuries.

McCormack was later charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving. On June 26 2018 a court issued a warrant for his arrest.

However police have now said that the man was found under a bed in a Vauxhall flat during a police search on Waterloo Road at around 10.50am yesterday (Sunday).
