Man wanted on suspicion of stalking and burglary found hiding in divan bed

A man was arrested on suspicion of stalking and burglary after being found hiding in a divan bed in Bolton.

It is alleged the 27-year-old 'repeatedly attended his ex-girlfriends address', 'forced entry' and 'had a confrontation with her and her new partner'.

Police arrested the man last night.

Officers also located another man who was wanted for alleged domestic violence offences.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault following an allegation he strangled and kicked his pregnant girlfriend.

In a post, GMP Bolton West said: “Great work from A Relief Response Team last night, successfully locating 2 males wanted for domestic violence offences.

“A 25yr old male was arrested on suspicion of a S.20 assault following an allegation he had strangled and kicked his girlfriend who was 15 weeks pregnant.

“Officers also arrested a 27yr old male on suspicion of stalking and burglary following an allegation he had repeatedly attended his ex-girlfriend's address, before forcing entry and having a confrontation with her and her new partner. The male was found hiding inside a divan bed.”
