Rosemont police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a stabbing Wednesday in the northwest suburb.
About 6 p.m., officers responded to calls of a stabbing that had occurred at a Mobil Gas Station, 9401 Higgins Rd., and found a victim with a stab wound to the lower left abdomen, Rosemont police said. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Video surveillance shows the victim leaving the Rosemont Blue Line station and walking northbound on River Road when an unknown man begins to run toward them from the station, police said. Further video shows the two engage in a “violent altercation” on the corner of River Road and Higgins Road before the suspect flees southbound on River Road.
