Man wanted in connection with 'rape and assault' arrested in Scots town

A wanted man has been arrested in a Scots town.

Police launched a frantic appeal to help find Owen Buck, 23, on Monday, May 9.

Buck was wanted in connection with allegations of rape, criminal damage, assault and stalking between November 2021 and January this year.

He is from Preston in Lancashire but has links in Irvine, Stevenston and Dalry north of the border - and English cops believed he was in Scotland.

Officers have now confirmed they arrested Buck in Paisley on Tuesday.

Cops have thanked the public for their assistance in tracing the man.

In a statement, Lancashire police said: "We asked for your help locating a man named Owen Buck, aged 23, who was wanted in connection with allegations of rape, criminal damage, assault and stalking between November 2021 and January this year.

"A 23-year-old man has since been arrested in the Paisley area of Scotland.

"Many thanks for your assistance."
