Chicago police are looking for a man who tried luring a child into a car Tuesday in Belmont Central on the Northwest Side.

A boy was walking westbound about 8:20 p.m. in the 6300 block of West Wrightwood Avenue when he saw a man sitting in a parked black Nissan Versa, Chicago police said. The man motioned for him to come toward him, but the boy walked away.

The man is described as in his 40s, with a medium build and wore a gray T-shirt, police said. He’s bald, has a small black beard and a tattoo on his right arm.

Anyone with information is asked to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8200.
