Man wanted after drone used to smuggle drugs into Walton prison

Detectives are hunting a teenager wanted in connection with an attempt to smuggle drugs into Walton prison using a drone.

Jack Gibney,19, is also wanted on warrant for failing to appear at Sefton Magistrates' Court for possession of drugs.

Gibney, from Walton, is described as 5ft 9in tall, of slim build and with ginger hair.

A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: "Detectives are issuing the image of a Walton man they want to speak in connection with drug offences.

"Gibney is wanted on warrant after failing to appear at Sefton Magistrates Court  for possession of drugs.

"Detectives also want to speak to Gibney in connection with an investigation into a drone and drugs which were recovered from near to HMP Liverpool prison in 2017."
