Man vows not to eat carrot thanks to its rude-looking appendage

A tailor has vowed not to eat a carrot he found in a bah from Tesco thanks to its rude-looking appendage.

Michael Coates, 47, pulled the vegetable from a bag after visiting a nearby Tesco - and fell about laughing.

Michael is now storing it in the fridge as a souvenir, unwilling to throw it away.

He was about to cook after buying the carrots from a store near Middlesborough when he made the phallic find.

He said: "It's incredible. I opened it up and there it was, in full glory. I just thought: 'What the heck?!'.

"What are the chances? It resembles a human being - and a naked one at that!

"It's unreal. It looks like a pair of legs and a penis. It was strange - but really funny.

"I thought: 'I can't bin that one'. I have put it in the fridge for now.

"But I know I'll have to throw it out eventually - it will go off."

Married Michael said he has already thrown the packaging away but believes the carrot came from a bag of Redmere Farms Carrots.

These cost £0.49 per kilogram, according to information on Tesco's website.

Michael, from Stokesley, North Yorks., works as a tailor. His business can be found at www.thesewingguru.com.
