Man Utd youngster Tahith Chong's agent pictured at Inter Milan ahead of transfer

Tahith Chong's agent Erkan Alkan has been pictured meeting with representatives of Inter Milan as speculation continues to mount over the Manchester United youngster's future.

Despite showing promise last season Chong has yet to cement a place in the first-team at United during the current campaign, with his appearances mainly limited to the Europa League, Carabao Cup and FA Cup.

His contact with the Red Devils expires in June, and the club are said to be keen on tying him down on a new long-term deal.

The likes of Juventus have expressed an interest in signing the player on a free transfer in the summer, but it appears Inter may have moved into the driving seat judging by the picture.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano posted the snap on his Twitter account along with the caption: "Inter just met in Milan with the agent of Tahith Chong. He'll be free agent on next June and has been offered to the Italian club. Many teams interested in him."

Chong is thought to be growing frustrated with his lack of playing time in Premier League matches, having made just two appearances in the division all season, and is open to a move to Italy.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said in November that he wanted the club to keep both Chong and his teammate Angel Gomes, whose contract is also up in the summer, but admitted he was powerless to stop them if they want to leave.

He said: "There are players we wanna get signed, of course. And Tahith is a player we think is going to develop. We've offered him a very good contract and the ball is in his court."

It remains to be seen whether Chong is involved in United's next game, which is an FA Cup replay against Wolves at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
