Harry Maguire could return for Manchester United against Norwich on Saturday.
The club’s record signing missed Tuesday’s Manchester derby after picking up a hip problem with reports suggesting he would face a lengthy period on the sidelines.
Solskjaer eased those fears on Friday however.
“He’s got a chance for tomorrow. It was a minor thing. He will go through training and we will see how he reacts.
“He’s a warrior and if there’s a minor problem he’ll put himself up to play. At half time against Wolves he was feeling discomfort, but played on.
“He was close to playing against City, but just not fit enough. He’s got a chance now.”
Jesse Lingard is set to miss out due to illness with Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba still sidelined.
Eric Bailly and Tim Fosu-Mensah are edging closer to first-team returns with the pair set to feature for United’s Under-23 side on Friday night.
