Man Utd XI vs Newcastle: Predicted line-up, team news and injury list for Premier League clash

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is likely to have to field a patched-up team when Manchester United travel to Newcastle United.

The Norwegian could be without five key players for the trip to St James’ Park.

Paul Pogba is a major doubt with an ankle injury, while Anthony Martial is still struggling with a thigh problem.

Luke Shaw is working his way back to full fitness after a hamstring strain, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka missed Thursday’s Europa League tie with AZ Alkmaar.

Jesse Lingard added to United’s injury concerns when pulling his hamstring after coming on as a substitute at the Cars Jeans Stadium.

It could mean Mason Greenwood getting a first Premier League start of the season, while Axel Tuanzebe could cover at full back if either Shaw or Wan-Bissaka fail to take part.

United are looking to end a 10-game winless run away from home, which dates back to their epic Champions League triumph against Paris Saint-Germain.

Man Utd predicted lineup (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Young, Lindelof, Maguire, Tuanzebe; McTominay, Matic; James, Mata, Greenwood; Rashford
