Jesse Lingard faces a fitness test before being cleared to play in Manchester United’s clash with Everton this afternoon.
The midfielder missed Thursday’s Europa League win over AZ Alkmaar, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hoping he will recover from a knock over the next 24 hours.
He said: “I'm not sure on Jesse, but I hope. He wasn't training Thursday, so we'll check him on Saturday probably."
United’s injury problems are beginning to clear with Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly and Tim Fosu-Mensah all pushing to be involved over the Christmas schedule.
Solskjaer is aiming to build on back-to-back wins against Tottenham and Manchester City when he faces Everton at Old Trafford.
And he is adamant he never lost hope of qualifying for the Champions League – despite United’s troubled start to the season.
“It's never been ridiculous (to think we could qualify),” he said. “It's never ridiculous in October or November.
“This club has never ever won the league by then. We're not talking about winning the league now, but I've said all along this group needs time.
“We need to develop as a group and a team. And we are going to because they have the right attitude.
“I don't think about it (top four) in December, not at all. There are too many games in December, January, February, March, April. You can't start looking at the result and outcome.
“We just need to keep doing what we're doing, keep developing this team, keep sticking to what we believe in, improving day by day. I believe then that the result will come.”

Predicted Man Utd XI (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; McTominay, Fred; James, Pereira, Rashford; Martial.
