Man Utd winger Tahith Chong sends message to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Tahith Chong is desperately hoping Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gives him a chance to stamp his mark on Europe.

The 19-year-old got a taste of the big time when he came on as an 80th-minute substitute in Manchester United ’s stunning away win over Paris Saint-Germain in March.

And while this week’s Europa League group game against Astana doesn’t quite carry the same cache, he knows it will be a chance to lay down a marker.

Chong said: “When Ole Solskjaer took over, the young players were lifted.

“I felt I was dreaming when he gave me a chance in the game against PSG.

“It’s something I dreamt about when I was a kid in the West Indies and I still have the picture in my mind when Marcus Rashford scored the crucial goal for 3-1 in injury-time.

“But at the end of the day it is all down to me. I have to deliver and grab every chance which the manager gives me.”
