Man Utd 'willing to pay' incredible £153m for Barcelona starlet, Leeds target's agent jets in for talks after £16m bid and West Ham told to pay £22m for Aaron Ramsey – transfer rumours

Here are your transfer headlines for Monday, August 24.

Man United 'willing to pay' £153m for starlet they have 'stalked'

Manchester United are reportedly willing to fork out an eyewatering £153million to land 17-year-old Barcelona forward Ansu Fati.

Jadon Sancho is thought to be United's No.1 target this summer, however the Manchester club refused to meet Borussia Dortmund's £108m valuation of the player.

Now, however, Mundo Deportivo report that United are willing to pay £45m more to meet the release clause for Fati, who they are said to have 'stalked' more than any other club this summer.

The Spanish outlet claim that Barca are about to offer the winger a new contract which will include a buyout clause worth £360m and United want to prise him away before being priced out of any deal.

Some have tipped Fati to go on to be as good as Barcelona icon Lionel Messi.

Cabral's agent jets to Europe

Leeds target Arthur Cabral's agents are reportedly jetting to Europe to thrash out a deal with the Elland Road club after they tabled a £16.1m bid to land the Basel striker.

According to Brazilian outlet UOL, the Swiss club are holding out for a fee closer to £18m.

Paulo Pitombeira and Luiz Portela, the 22-year-old forward's agents, are expected in Portugal to advance in negotiations.

They will meet Leeds representatives in Lisbon at 6.20am on Tuesday, the report adds.

Juventus tell West Ham to pay £22m for Ramsey

Juventus have reportedly told Aaron Ramsey's Premier League suitors they must stump up £22m if they are to land the Wales international.

Italian newspaper Gazetta dello Sport claim that West Ham and Crystal Palace are interested in making a move for the midfielder, while Newcastle have also been credited with an interest in recent days.

Ramsey is said to be the second-highest earner in Turin, behind only Cristiano Ronaldo, and the Italian giants would be willing to offload him in order to free up some room on the wage bill.

Whether Ramsey's lofty wages, reported to be around £400,000 a week, price Premier League clubs out of a deal remains to be seen.

Thiago 'will move to Liverpool'

Reports in both Germany and Thiago Alcantara’s native Spain both say he “will move” to Liverpool in the current window.

The midfielder won the Champions League with Bayern Munich on Sunday night, however fresh reports appear to suggest that might have been his final game for the Bavarian outfit.

In an article headlined “Love at last sight”, Der Spiegel writes: “It is certain that it will end now and Thiago will move to Liverpool, to Jurgen Klopp. To say goodbye with a Champions League victory would be a fitting conclusion.”

Meanwhile, Sport Witness cite Catalan publication Mundo Deportivo as reporting that Thiago will ‘head to Liverpool’, as if it were a matter of fact.

Bale to hold crunch Zidane talks with Tottenham's interest 'real'

Gareth Bale will hold showdown talks with Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane this week to discuss his future, according to reports in Spain.

The Welshman will report to the club's Valdebebas training complex in the coming days along with the rest of his Los Blancos team-mates as they begin pre-season preparations.

It is as yet unknown, however, whether Bale will be a Real Madrid player next season.

But with the international break with Wales coming up at the beginning of September, Spanish outlet Marca report that Zidane will meet with Bale for crunch talks over his future this week.

AS, meanwhile, claim that Tottenham's interest in signing the player is indeed very 'real' and Jose Mourinho wants to bring the Welshman back to the club for whom he shone almost decade ago.

Silva deal done

Chelsea are putting the final touches together on a deal to sign former Paris Saint-Germain skipper Thiago Silva.

The 35-year-old is a free agent after leaving the French giants following their Champions League final defeat to Bayern Munich on Sunday night.

And Sky Sports are reporting that Silva will pen a one-year deal at Stamford Bridge whilst others state it will be a two-year stay.

Anderson interest

Arsenal want to sign West Ham winger Felipe Anderson on loan, according to a report from The Telegraph .

The Gunners are keen to add another wide man to Mikel Arteta's squad and have tried to sign the Brazilian temporarily.

The report claims that West Ham will only allow Anderson to leave on a permanent deal, with the 27-year-old having fallen out of favour under David Moyes at the end of last season.
