Manchester United are seeking back-to-back Premier League wins when they welcome West Ham United to Old Trafford on Thursday night.
The Red Devils endured embarrassment during their most recent outing on home turf, sinking to a disastrous 1–0 defeat against 10-man Everton. However, they returned to winning ways last weekend as they secured a crucial comeback victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount were the surprise goalscoring double act in the capital as United ended a three-game winless streak, but Ruben Amorim’s team remains an inconsistent force as they aim for Champions League qualification.
West Ham had been enjoying a purple patch of from that included successive wins over Newcastle United and Burnley, but Nuno Espírito Santo’s side slipped into old habits in their 2–0 weekend defeat against struggling Liverpool. The Irons offered nothing in the final third as they slumped to another lifeless loss.
They can take solace from their excellent recent record against the Red Devils, however, with four wins from the last five meetings. The Hammers have tasted victory twice at Old Trafford over the past four years, including a 2–0 triumph as recently as May.

Lisandro Martínez made his much-anticipated return as a late substitute against Palace, marking a first appearance for the Red Devils since February. Amorim will need to be careful with his re-integration after such a lengthy layoff.
