Man Utd vs Perth Glory
Manchester United 2019/20 pre-season tour
Venue: Optus Stadium, Perth, Australia
Date: Saturday, July 13, 2019
Kick-off time: 12pm BST
Manchester United's preparations for the 2019-20 season begin Down Under as the Red Devils take on Perth Glory in Australia.
United face a tough test in their first pre-season game, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men up against the A-League champions as Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James get used to life at the club.
While Solskjaer faces a number of issues off the field - least of all Paul Pogba's future - United fans will at least be able to enjoy some drama on the pitch as another long campaign gets underway.
Here's what you need to know...
Man Utd team news and tour squad
It remains to be seen whether Romelu Lukaku will play any part as Inter Milan attempt to sign the Belgian striker.
Lukaku took part in a gym workout with Anthony Martial rather than featuring in an open training session with the rest of the team at The WACA on Thursday.
However, United fans are likely to see new signings Daniel James and Wan-Bissaka in action for the first time, while young players such as Tahith Chong, James Garner, Mason Greenwood, Angel Gomes, Joel Pereira and Axel Tuanzebe could all feature.
Goalkeepers: David De Gea, Lee Grant, Joel Pereira, Sergio Romero
Defenders: Diogo Dalot, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Victor Lindelof, Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling, Axel Tuanzebe, Luke Shaw, Ashley Young, Diogo Dalot
Midfielders: Tahith Chong, James Garner, Angel Gomes, Daniel James, Jesse Lingard, Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata, Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira, Paul Pogba
Forwards: Mason Greenwood, Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford
Prediction: Man Utd 2-1 Perth Glory
While many a United fan would expect a routine win against an Australian side, The Glory should give a disjointed Red Devils side a real workout.
Tony Popovic's side are not about to roll over on their home turf, and Any Keogh will fancy his chances against a United defence who were not up to scratch last term.
