Man Utd vs Burnley betting preview: Odds, prediction and Mason Greenwood to come good late on

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer saw positives in Manchester United's Anfield defeat on Sunday.

But to convince supporters that their glass really is half-full he has to oversee victory over Burnley at Old Trafford tonight.

Can he? We asked Old Trafford expert Joe Bray for his verdict on tonight's Premier League clash.

Win lose or draw?

Despite the result against Liverpool, United managed to create chances in the second half at Anfield and could have escaped with a point. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will take confidence from that, and victory against Burnley would be the perfect response, so expect United to be fired up and get the win. Thepools.com have United 4/9 to triumph .

Who's a good bet for first goalscorer?

You'd have to say Anthony Martial will be United's main threat going forward in the absence of Marcus Rashford. He missed a good chance at Liverpool and will want to put that right. Mason Greenwood is the other option, but his goals this season have tended to come in the second half, so Martial is probably the way to go. He is 5/2 to score first and 4/5 to score at anytime in the match. How about Greenwood last scorer? That's an 11/4 call.

Who's on the naughty step?

Nemanja Matic looks set to keep his spot, so that means he will be tasked with stopping the Burnley counter-attack. He might have to take one for the team, or make his presence felt against the Clarets' physicality, so a booking is not out of the question.

Who's on pens?

With Rashford out, Anthony Martial will surely step up. After the Frenchman, maybe Juan Mata could be trusted, but Martial is higher in the pecking order. Mata is 9/1 to score first and 16/5 to score at any time .

Will United keep a clean sheet?

Before the Liverpool defeat, United had kept three clean sheets in four. Burnley's best chance of getting anything will to be defend deep and look for a counter attack, so the clean sheet is in United's hands. Both Teams To Score 'No' is a big looking 4/6 .
