Manchester United will bid to close the gap to Premier League the top four to nine points when they host Brighton on Sunday,
Last week, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side ended their away woes with three wins on the bounce, culminating in a fine 2-1 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Carabao Cup.
But they were unable to make it four, reverting to type against Bournemouth last Saturday as they fell to their fourth defeat of the season.
Despite sitting 14th on 13 points from 11 games, United's League form at Old Trafford has been fairly solid. Solskjaer's men have hosted Liverpool, Arsenal, Leicester, Palace and Chelsea this season, losing just once at home (2-1 against Palace).
A much-improved performance against Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday offered hope again, but United urgently need some consistency.
