Man Utd v Man City Carabao Cup odds and a very big 5/1 first scorer prediction

It's only one month since Manchester United crossed the city and won at The Etihad.

Tonight's Carabao Cup semi-final first leg is at Old Trafford, yet bookies thepools.com make City odds on favourites to triumph.

Are they correct? We asked our Manchester United expert Sam Luckhurst how he sees tonight's tie going.

Win, lose or draw?

Draw. United have drawn plenty of times this season and only lost once at home, which was back in August. City are back on form but their defence is porous and United should be able to cause them grief again. The draw is a very attractively priced 16/5  and well worth considering. Get on here .

Who's a good bet for first scorer?

A tricky call, given United haven't scored in three of their last five. Marcus Rashford is probably still the safe bet, given his big-game record. He has three goals in seven derby starts. He's also a very big 5/1 to score first and 6/4 to score at any time.

First yellow?

It's whoever the left-back is (again). Brandon Williams would be United fans' choice to start but Ashley Young might be entrusted with looking after Raheem Sterling, given Luke Shaw's shambolic form.

Who's on penalties?

Rashford. He converted against City last month. Look at that 5/1 price again!

Will United keep a clean sheet?

No. United hardly record clean sheets, are coming up against one of the best attacks in the world and their £80m defender is struggling to be fit. Both Teams To Score is a solid 4/6 tip.
