Man Utd urged to complete transfer for Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale

Manchester United have been told to sign Gareth Bale this summer because the Wales international "can change any team".

That's according to his former boss Harry Redknapp, who wants to see the ex-Tottenham star leave the Bernabeu and return the Premier League.

Bale was a big hit in Spain when he first left Spurs to complete his dream move to Real Madrid, but has fallen down the pecking order in recent seasons.

Zinedine Zidane has just completed the transfers of Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic, meaning Bale's chances of first team football will be even more scare next campaign.

What's more, Los Blancos need to balance their books and consider Bale to be someone they can reclaim money on.

Redknapp believes now is the perfect time for Bale to leave Real Madrid and return to the Premier League with Man United, where he'll get regular first team football.

Redknapp said on talkSPORT: "I think it would be a great move for him to go and get his career back on track again. He's a fantastic player and he can change any team, he's that good.

He'd be a great signing for them. OK if they've got one or two kids coming through as well, that's great as well. But what happened with the six lads who came – that happens once in God knows how many years.

"I had it with West Ham when six kids came through, with Rio [Ferdinand] and Frank [Lampard] and that group came through. They'd gone years and years without producing a player up until that little group appeared.

"To get another five or six kids coming through who are going to be great players is very, very difficult. So you do need that blend of experience and youth, for sure, but someone like Gareth would be a great signing."
