Man Utd transfer target Jadon Sancho subject of Bayern Munich 'enquiry'

Manchester United reportedly face competition from Bayern Munich in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund superstar Jadon Sancho.

The 20-year-old England winger is wanted by a host of European giants including the Red Devils - but Dortmund are desperate to tie him to an extended deal.

United believe they have convinced him to quit Germany for the Premier League with a lucrative deal on the table and the no.7 shirt, previously worn by the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Eric Cantona, waiting for him.

However ESPN has now reported that Bayern made an enquiry about Sancho before the coronavirus shutdown.

The German giants are in the hunt for a new attacker and have made Manchester City star Leroy Sane their No.1 summer target.

But City are reluctant to part ways with Sane, leaving Bayern to look elsehwere.

They may, however, have difficulty landing Sancho as Dortmund would prefer not to sell their star man to a Bundesliga rival.

That will give United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hope that he can still land his man this summer.

However Sancho has been urged by former Liverpool star Emre Can to reject Manchester United and stay at Borussia Dortmund.

Can reckons Sancho would be making a mistake to move to Old Trafford and insists that he is still massively valued at his current club.

The former Liverpool star told Sport Bild: “I see no reason to put United over Dortmund. Neither sporty nor attractive.

"I tell him: stay here and let's play together forever. Jadon has a class that not many players have. I noticed that pretty quickly. He is extremely important to us."
