Jadon Sancho 'liked' Thiago Alcantara's Instagram announcement that he has joined Liverpool this summer transfer window.
Sancho is a Manchester United target, and has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent months.
But the Borussia Dortmund forward is also on Liverpool's radar amid reports back in July that he likes the idea of playing for the Premier League champions.
Liverpool don't have the money to sign Sancho at the moment, and after landing Thiago are expecting to snap up Wolves striker Diogo Jota.
But while Manchester United delay signing Sancho, the England international's future is still very much the subject of speculation.
Manchester United didn't want to spend the £108million Dortmund were demanding to sell Sancho earlier in the transfer window.
BVB then issued United a deadline, which was missed, and stated the Red Devils would not be landing the forward this month.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side turned their attention to Donny van de Beek instead, snapping up the Dutchman from Ajax for £35m.
United remain interested in Sancho, but may wait until next summer so sign him.
Liverpool have also been relatively quiet this summer but confirmed the signing of Thiago on a four-year deal this Friday.
The Spaniard cost the Reds £26m and is in contention to face Chelsea this weekend.
