Man Utd transfer target Gareth Bale 'sent clear message' as Real Madrid line up Paul Pogba AND Chelsea's Eden Hazard

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has sent Gareth Bale "a clear message" over his future, according to Spanish outlet Marca .

Welshman Bale saw only 10 minutes of action in Real's 1-1 draw with Leganes on Monday evening.

Despite struggling in that game the Frenchman left Bale on the bench until the final throes of the match.

With only 10 minutes left, Bale was unable to change the outcome of the result.

Marco Asensio started the tie, with Marca stating this was a "clear message" to the former Tottenham man.

Bale has started three matches and been a substitute in another two in the five matches the 46-year-old tactician has overseen since his return to Madrid.

And things are set to get tougher for Bale in the Spanish capital, the publication continues, with the return from injury of Vinicius Junior.

Marca argue that will mean Bale will fall down the pecking order further.

Los Blancos chiefs have placed a 100million euro price tag on Bale's head, and have identified Paul Pogba and Chelsea's Eden Hazard as replacements this summer.

Zidane plans a huge overhaul of the Real squad during the off season. Bale won't be short of suitors if he is moved on, with Man Utd, Tottenham and Bayern Munich all keen on his services.

However, Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett insists the player has no intention of moving on this summer and, despite difficulties with the club's fans, is keen to stay at Madrid.

"He is very happy here," he said. "He is a Real Madrid player and right now he is not thinking about a return to England."

Asked whether the Wales international is likely to still be at the club next season, Barnett added: "I can’t predict the future but for now he is happy."
