Man Utd transfer target Boubakary Soumare confirms plans to leave Lille

Manchester United transfer target Boubakary Soumare has confirmed his plans to leave Lille - but it won't be until next season.

The Red Devils have been strongly linked with a move for the Lille midfielder, who has also caught the eye of Chelsea, Arsenal, Valencia and Real Madrid.

Soumare has ambitions to play for a top club, and has confirmed he will leave Lille in the future to realise his dreams.

But for the time being the 20-year-old star is happy to continue his development at Lille, and has no plans to leave the Ligue 1 club midway through the season.

When asked if he will leave Lille, Soumare told L'Equipe: "Yes, of course. I have already discussed with the coach.

"I told him very clearly. I have a very clear idea of where I want to go in my career. I want to do a full season here, yes. I feel good, my team-mates are helping me. I know where I am today and that suits me. It is not time to leave – I don't want to leave with regrets."
