Manchester United 's January transfer window could be defining as they look to rescue their season.
The Red Devils hopes for a Premier League title challenge vanished early in the season after a poor start and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was belatedly jettisoned.
Interim boss Ralf Rangnick has set about challenging for a top four finish, but they face stern competition from London trio West Ham, Arsenal and Tottenham for Champions League qualification.
Rangnick may feel United need reinforcements that can adapt to his 4-2-2-2 system to increase the likelihood of a positive end to the campaign.
Here, Mirror Football rounds up the latest transfer gossip surrounding Old Trafford.
Pogba decision

Paul Pogba has not yet featured under Rangnick and is still a fortnight away from full fitness.
But the Frenchman's future still remains in doubt as he enters the final six months of his contract.
And he is now free to talk to potential new clubs and sign a pre-contract agreement ahead of the expiry of his deal next summer.
But according to Sky Sports reporter Ben Ransom, no rush is being made to solve the midfielder's future.
It is believed that the 28-year-old is likely to wait until the summer as he weighs up his next move.
Pogba has not featured for United since sustaining an injury with France in November.
Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are said to be among the interested suitors should he decide not to sign a new contract at Old Trafford.
Mengi set for loan
Teden Mengi is in talks to complete a loan move to Birmingham City until the end of the season.
Mengi, 19, is highly regarded at Old Trafford and came off the bench in United's dead rubber Champions League fixture against Young Boys in December.
And after a temporary deal to re-sign for Derby County in the summer fell through the cracks, Mengi now looks set to move to the Midlands.
The Manchester Evening News reports talks between United and Birmingham are at a preliminary stage but the Championship side have identified the teenager as an ideal replacement for Dion Sanderson, who has been recalled by Wolves.
Mengi would become the second United player to be loaned to Birmingham this season after Dutch winger Tahith Chong.
Barca eye Martial

Cash-strapped Barcelona recently stumped up a huge transfer fee for Manchester City's Ferran Torres and they continue to be linked with big names.
And the Catalan giants are rumoured to be targeting United outcast Anthony Martial, who is set to leave the club this month or in the summer.
Catalan outlet Ara claim that Barca are exploring the possibility of signing Martial.
And it is added that they could even include injury-ravaged winger Ousmane Dembele in a potential swap deal to make the deal plausible.
