In less than 24 hours time, the January transfer window will re-open its doors for business once more.
Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick will no doubt have ideas in mind of who he would like to see come and go from Old Trafford.
After replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the end of last month, interim boss Rangnick will be hoping to bring his first arrival to the club in the upcoming window.
United were one of the busier Premier League clubs in the summer transfer window and they could be again in January.
Here, Mirror Football brings you the latest gossip from Old Trafford.
United eye Icardi as Cavani replacement
Man Utd are preparing a move to sign Mauro Icardi if Edinson Cavani departs the club in the January transfer window, according to reports.
Italian outlet Calciomercato say United have a plan to sign the PSG forward if Cavani decides to call time on his career at Old Trafford.
Icardi is rumoured to be unhappy in Paris after a lack of game time following Lionel Messi’s arrival from Barcelona.
Mauricio Pochettino’s favoured front free consists of Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, meaning Icardi is often brought on from the bench.
Barcelona are reportedly interested in Cavani, who has just over six months remaining on his current deal.
The Uruguayan forward will be free to negotiate a pre-contract with other club’s from Saturday onwards.
However, United may decide to cash-in on Cavani in January to avoid losing the player for nothing at the end of June.
Alvarez’s agent ‘receives call’
Where will Man Utd finish in the Premier League this season under Rangnick? Let us know in the comments section.

Julian Alvarez’s agent has reportedly ‘received a call’ from United about joining the club.
Other outlets have previously reported such things, but now TyC Sports have claimed the player’s agent, Fernando Hidalgo, has spoke with the club.
The 21-year-old continues to be linked with a move to Old Trafford following a remarkable season with Argentine giants River Plate.
Alvarez – who can play either through the middle, or out wide – is rumoured to have a €20million release clause at River.
The forward has scored 24 goals and registered 15 assists this year in just 46 matches to help River to their first Argentine Primera Division title in seven years.
When asked recently about his future following River’s title success, Alvarez refused to rule out a potential move.
"Frankly, I don’t know what will happen, now I’m only thinking about celebrating," Alvarez said. "In January we will see."
Sevilla still interested in Martial

Sevilla are reportedly still interested in a loan move for United forward Anthony Martial.
Reports suggest United rejected a previous approach from Sevilla after the La Liga side were willing to pay only a part of the Frenchman’s £200,000-per-week wages.
According to French outlet L’Equipe, via Get French Football News, Sevilla remain keen on bringing Martial to Spain on loan in a deal until the end of the season.
The same report says that there will not be an option to buy clause inserted into Martial’s contract.
Martial has not played for United since the 3-2 win over Arsenal at the start of the month and the 26-year-old last started a league game for The Red Devils way back in October against Everton.
