Man Utd transfer news: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'eyes triple swoop for England stars'

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants three young English stars to add to his Manchester United squad this summer.

The Norwegian is likely to be given funds to strengthen once he is confirmed as Jose Mourinho's permanent successor at Old Trafford.

A right-back remains at the top of United's list of priorities while Solskjaer is likely to add another option in the wide attacking areas.

He has also set his sights on a holding midfielder with Solskjaer telling Ed Woodward that signing English players is his priority.

Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho has been on their summer wishlist for some time and the Sun reports United are also keen on Declan Rice and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

West Ham midfielder Rice made his Three Lions debut against Czech Republic last week before being handed his first start in the win over Montenegro.

Wan-Bissaka has enjoyed a fine campaign with Crystal Palace and has also been tipped for a senior call-up in recent weeks.

The likes of Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard and Luke Shaw have become integral to Solskjaer's United side and he wants to add further homegrown players to his squad.

United had also been tipped to reignite their interest in Leicester defender Harry Maguire.

Jose Mourinho had been keen on Maguire last summer but failed to persuade the United board to cough up.

But Leicester have warned the big boys to think again if they are plotting raids on the King Power, with Ben Chilwell also a target for Manchester City .

Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly remains United's leading No.1 defensive target, although the Serie A club are likely to demand a huge fee for the Senegalese international.
