Man Utd told what "unbelievable" Mauricio Pochettino will do for them after contact

Mauricio Pochettino would take Manchester United to "another dimension".

That's according to Jamie O'Hara, who believes the former Tottenham boss is "unbelievable" and that it is a travesty he is currently out of work.

Pochettino has been linked with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's job in recent months as the Red Devils have been struggling in the Premier League.

United were beaten in the Champions League on Wednesday, with the club allegedly responding by contacting Pochettino to sound him out over the manager's job, according to the MEN.

O'Hara was asked for his thoughts on Pochettino taking the reins at United, and what it would mean for the Old Trafford club.

And it seems the former Spurs midfielder is convinced it would be a recipe for success.

"I would have Pochettino at most football clubs," O'Hara told  talkSPORT.

"How can you say he's not unbelievable? Look what he did with Southampton and look what he did at Spurs. Put him with Man United's squad and they'd go to another dimension."

He added: "I think you've got to give Pochettino massive respect for what he did at Spurs. Listen, he didn't win anything and that's the biggest regret that he's got.

"But where he took that football club - with no budget, not signing any players, producing young players, playing an exciting style football - made him world class and made Tottenham a guaranteed top-four side every season.

"He got them to a Champions League final, on the night they were poor but as a manager he's unbelievable. For me, he's the fourth best manager in England right now and he hasn't got a job."
