Man Utd 'to listen to bids for Romelu Lukaku' as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wields axe

Manchester United are ready to listen to offers for Romelu Lukaku, with Inter Milan, Paris St-Germain and Bayern Munich all amongst the clubs interested in taking the Belgian.

Lukaku is set to be the first casualty of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's reign, as the Norwegian begins a ruthless overhaul of his playing staff ahead of his first full season in charge next term, report the Telegraph.

Federico Pastorello, Lukaku’s representative, conceded earlier this month that the striker's future is “very open”, and said his man was “someone who loves to know a different culture, a different football”. Lukaku talked up the prospect of playing in Italy in October.

Antonio Conte is a known admirer of Lukaku, and could move in for the Belgian if he is appointed to either Inter or Juventus in the summer.

The Italian has already missed out on Lukaku once in his managerial career, failing to lure the Belgian to Stamford Bridge during his Chelsea days when the striker opted to up sticks from former club Everton .

Instead, the 25 year-old made the choice to sign for Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford rather than renew his acquaintance with his first English club.

Lukaku has fallen down the pecking order at United this season, and now sits behind Marcus Rashford as Solskjaer's preferred choice to lead the line for the Red Devils.

Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera and Juan Mata are all likely to join Lukaku through the exit door at Old Trafford, though it is the Belgian who could prove the hardest to shift, with the club keen to recoup a sizeable fee for their man on account of his £225,00-a-week wage.

Alexis Sanchez is another high earner for whom financials could prove a hurdle, with the Chilean signed to a £500,000-a-week deal which is highly unlikely to be match elsewhere after a moribund 16 months in Manchester.
