Man Utd tipped to make third signing of summer transfer window

Manchester United have been tipped to make Harry Maguire their third summer signing.

The Red Devils have already snapped up Daniel James from Swansea and highly-rated defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka in deals worth around £65million.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has taken his squad to Australia for the first leg of their pre-season tour but he has already set his sights on three more signings.

United are going head to head with Manchester City for Leicester City defender Maguire.

The England international is expected to leave the King Power Stadium this summer, but the Foxes are demanding a staggering £85million for his signature.

City have baulked at the asking price, leaving United with a free run at the former Hull centre-back.

United reportedly offered Marcos Rojo plus £70m in a bid to get a deal for Maguire over the line.

However, Leicester are only interested in a straight-cash transfer, and The Sun claim the Red Devils are willing to meet their demands.

Solskjaer provided a transfer update when he faced the cameras in Australia on Wednesday.

He said: "We're still in the market looking to do some business, but we're patient, we're Manchester United , we don't have to sell and don't have to overpay.

"You have to have the right players at the right price and if you look at the squad we've got now, there are so many good players, and the ones working here want to improve."
