Man Utd team go out for team bonding meal but Paul Pogba is among the stars who miss out

Paul Pogba was among the Manchester United players who missed a team bonding meal organised by David de Gea.

The Red Devils goalkeeper treated his team-mates to dinner at Juan Mata's restaurant on Wednesday, following the penalty shoot-out win over Rochdale in the Carabao Cup.

De Gea organised the get together to help bolster morale ahead of Manchester United's Premier League clash with Arsenal on Monday.

But a number of players missed out on going to the dinner, including Pogba, £80million centre-back Harry Maguire, Ashley Young, Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero.

Pogba returned from injury against Rochdale but was not handed the captain's armband for the Carabao Cup third round tie.

Instead, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted to name Axel Tuenzebue skipper - a decision that reportedly raised a few eyebrows among the United players.

Pogba has been once again linked with a move away from Manchester United and is eyeing an exit in the January transfer window.

The World Cup winner is not short of suitors with Real Madrid and Juventus both keen on signing the France international.
