Man Utd target Matthijs de Ligt given transfer advice by Barcelona's Jasper Cillessen

Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen admits he has spoken with Ajax star Matthijs de Ligt about a move to the Camp Nou this summer.

De Ligt, still just 19, is wanted by Barca, Manchester United, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain among a host of other clubs although the Spanish giants were said to be close to sealing a transfer for the Netherlands international.

However, following his side's win over England at the Uefa Nations League Finals on Thursday night, De Ligt revealed he is yet to make a decision about his future despite Cillessen talking up the benefits of joining Barcelona.

Speaking to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Cillessen said: "I sat down with him [De Ligt] to talk about all the options but I did the same with Frenkie [de Jong].

"I told him that the decision belongs to him. Matthijs is a good boy and he knows what he has to do.

"I talked to him but also told him that I cannot make the decision for him. He knows what he has to do.

"I can only talk about the good things about Barcelona because they are a great club and I have great feelings for them."
