Man Utd target Mario Lemina issues bizarre social media come-and-get-me plea

Mario Lemina has taken to social media to step up his plans to quit Southampton .

The midfielder has made no secret of his desire to leave the club this summer with Manchester United and Arsenal both interested.

United have reportedly already made an enquiry and former Juventus midfielder Lemina has indicated he wants to stay in the Premier League.

Lemina, who has been left out of Southampton's tour of Austria, bizarrely took to social media on Wednesday afternoon to post a highlights compilation.

"I know what I can reach and I will fight for it," Lemina posted alongside the video.

Manchester United fans bombarded the post, urging the midfielder to move to Old Trafford.

"Come play with the big boys," one user posted while another added: "We are waiting for you at United."

But the highlights clip didn't go down too well among Southampton supporters, who suggested Lemina doesn't have the consistency to make the grade at Old Trafford.

Speaking to France Football, the 25-year-old admitted he hopes to stay in England in a boost to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

"The best thing for me would be to stay here, but I don’t close the door on any club, or any country. I aspire to play in the very biggest clubs, now we will see what is offered to me," Lemina said.

"I made a good impression in England, I received good feedback at a certain point, so I hope that clubs won’t have a short memory.

"I am not scared, I made a decision and I take full responsibility for it. I decided to tell the club representatives that I wanted to leave, there is no turning back."
