Man Utd target Jadon Sancho unfazed by transfer speculation but open to Premier League, La Liga moves

Manchester United target Jadon Sancho insists he is focused on his responsibilities for England and Borussia Dortmund despite speculation over his future his summer.

Standard Sport understands that United have made Sancho their top transfer priority to strengthen Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's front line, with the manager prepared to wait until next year to try and sign him after missing out on the 19-year-old this summer.

Sancho's decision to leave Manchester City for Dortmund as a 17-year-old two years ago has reaped dividends, with the forward becoming one of the Bundesliga's top performers and earning a call-up to Gareth Southgate's senior England squad.

The youngster has made six appearances for England while still a teenager, and another strong season in Germany could lead to interest from further afield than just United.

However, Sancho says his focus is currently on performing for club and country as he attempts to ignore the speculation linking him to Old Trafford.

"I don't really try to take notice of all the media," Sancho told PA Sport. "I just try to stay focused on my game.

"Obviously being in Germany has taken off the pressure of the media and I think that's really helping me a lot and keeping me focused."

However, Sancho did admit that he would be open to a Premier League return - as well as Spain.

"I can't tell the future but I wouldn't mind," he said. "LaLiga I wouldn't mind also, but we don't know yet."

Sancho is the youngest player to ever score 15 Bundesliga goals, and has started the new season well with two goals and three assists.

The forward wants more of the same in the year building up to Euro 2020, adding: "I am just happy that I'm playing and that's the main thing.

"I'm just helping my team and learning every day when I'm on the pitch.

"It's a great start. I am just happy to have two goals and three assists. Hopefully I'll just carry on."
