Man Utd stars make feelings clear about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sack decision

A number of Manchester United players are claimed to not be convinced that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the right man to take the club forward.

The Norwegian boss is under intense scrutiny after United dropped out of the top four last weekend after their 4-2 defeat to Leicester.

Cristiano Ronaldo came to the rescue against Atalanta midweek as the Red Devils secured a dramatic 3-2 comeback win in the Champions League, but Solskjaer's critics are still circling.

United are continuing to back their under-fire boss despite agents approaching the Old Trafford club to find them a potential replacement.

But several Man Utd players are 'far less convinced' that Solskjaer is the man for the job, according to The Sun.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes intervened in his half-time team talk against Atalanta as the Red Devils were 2-0 down at the break, suggesting all is not well in the dressing room.

Bruno Fernandes demanded the Old Trafford boss change his tactics at the half way point as he wanted to be dropped into a deeper role to get on the ball more.

The former Sporting Lisbon man assisted Marcus Rashford to get United back in the game at 2-1.

And it's a concern that is shared by other United players as Solskjaer has been guilty of several tactical errors throughout the season.

A source told The Sun: “The message is not clear. There is confusion in the team, players don’t understand what the tactics are.

“There’s no team, it’s just individuals and there are big problems in the defence.”

Maguire wasn't fully fit for the visit to the Foxes, but was handed a surprise start as the United captain was guilty of an error in the build-up to two of Leicester's goals.

But Solskjaer held his hands up for rushing the skipper back too soon.

He said: "When you look at the game after, the four goals we conceded were poor. The way we played we don't deserve to continue that (away unbeaten) run.

“I pick the team, Harry Maguire showed no reaction and I hold my hand up if that does not work out. If we concede four, I probably made a bad decision."
