Shola Shoretire could make his first-team debut for Manchester United this season after being fast-tracked into the first team.
Shoretire signed his first professional contract with United after turning 17 last week - with the club fending off interest from the likes of PSG, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus.
The teenager responded by firing a hat-trick from the wing as the under-23s' beat Blackburn on Friday.
And as a result of his fine performances for the reserves he has been promoted to train with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first team for the foreseeable future.
That means linking up with one of his heroes in fellow Red Devils academy graduate Marcus Rashford.
Rashford has blazed a trail for United's talented youngsters, with the 23-year-old having established himself as one of Solskjaer's most important players.
And Shoretire has previously named the England striker along with former Barcelona star Ronaldinho as the idols he is looking to emulate in his career.
While the youngster is not old enough to remember Ronaldinho in his prime, he says he was a huge fan of the Brazil forward's technique and the way he enjoyed his football.
"He was so confident in himself, he was skilful and had everything," Shoretire said of Ronaldinho to UMM's YouTube channel.
"If you're not having fun on a pitch then there's no point. I'm always going into a game thinking I'm going to do well."
Of Rashford, Shoretire said: "The things that he does on the pitch and off the pitch, he's a good role model.
"Seeing him do that, it makes me think I can do that too."
Right-footed Shoretire can play anywhere across the front line or as an attacking midfielder.
He has progressed rapidly through United's age-group teams since joining the club at the age of 10, and became the youngest player ever to play in UEFA's Youth League when he faced Valencia aged just 14.
