Man Utd star Paul Pogba 'lowers demands to force Real Madrid move' and more transfer rumours

Paul Pogba is prepared to take a pay-cut in order to secure a move to Real Madrid, according to reports.

The Manchester United midfielder is said to be keen on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu after the Reds failed to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Pogba finished the season as United's top scorer, with 16 goals across all competitions, and was the recipient of admiring glances from Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane during the March international break.

The France midfielder, 26, said it would be 'a dream' to play under his compatriot and Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, is thought to be looking to engineer a move to La Liga for United's record transfer.

Pogba is among United's top earners - on around £290,000 per week - but Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claim Madrid are unwilling to meet that figure to secure the midfielder's services.

It is thought that Pogba would be prepared to lower his wage demands in order to ensure a move away from Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Tanguy Ndombele, the Lyon midfielder, has been linked with a move to United as Pogba's potential replacement.

The 22-year-old, who broke into the France national team at the start of the team, impressed in the Champions League this season with stellar showings against Manchester City in the group stage.

But United will only consider a move for Ndombele as and when Pogba's future at the club is clarified, Metro claim.
