Man Utd star Daniel James' goal sends fans wild as Gary Lineker and Gary Neville blown away by thunderbolt at Southampton

Fans have flocked to social media to heap praise on Wales international Daniel James after he opened the scoring for Manchester United against Southampton in emphatic fashion.

Just 10 minutes into Saturday's early Premier League kick-off James was found on the left-hand side by midfielder Scott McTominay before he cut in from his wing and took aim at goal.

He let go a sledgehammer of a shot and it rifled past Angus Gunn in the Southampton goal before careering into the back of the net.

"He's made the step up to the Premier League and he just cannot stop scoring," commentator Darren Fletcher exclaimed.

"Absolutely stunning," co-commentator Martin Keown chipped in, "a sublime finish from the young man."

James, who has been capped four times by Wales, has now scored three times in four league matches for the Red Devils, his first coming in the 4-0 win over Chelsea in their opening fixture before netting against Crystal Palace in the defeat last week.

The former Swansea winger has certainly hit the ground running at the Old Trafford club and the United faithful, along with the likes of Gary Neville and Gary Lineker, took to Twitter to lavish him with praise.
